About Teesside Skip Hire

Skip hire looks like the simplest trade there is until two quotes for the same job come back £80 apart. The gap is almost never the container. It is the hire period, whether tipping is genuinely included, whether the permit was counted, and what happens to a mattress or a sheet of plasterboard when it turns up in the load. How it works

Tell us about the waste: roughly what you are clearing, the property, and your postcode. The enquiry goes to one independent local skip hire contractor covering your area, who prices the job properly and comes back with a written figure. Mini skips, midi skips, builders skips, 12 yard skips, wait and load and commercial exchanges all follow the same standard.

• One clear price: delivery, the stated hire period, collection and tipping in a single figure, with the weekly extension rate given upfront.
• A registered waste carrier: Environment Agency registration held, and the waste transfer note issued for every load.
• The permit position stated: where the skip stands on the highway, the council licence, lights and cones shown as their own line.
• An honest size recommendation: including being told when a smaller skip filled to a line beats a bigger one you cannot legally fill.
• The prohibited list in writing: what cannot go in, and what the separately handled items cost.
• Insurance you can read: public liability cover evidenced by certificate.
